These light, pretty, seductive ballets, though so different in theme and setting, are alike in showcasing the amazing artistry of the fabled Kirov Ballet, with its star dancers Faroukh Ruzimatov, Altynai Asylmuratova, and Margarita Kullik.
This fully packed program concludes with Romeo and Juliet, set to Tchaikovsky's music.
Filmed in the 1980s, these three ballets reflect the production and artistic standards in the Soviet Union at the time.
